Life calmed down enormously this week, and yesterday I had a whole day without pain in my back – and that despite spending 7 hours typing (according to my little friend WorkRave).
I’ve realised that the stretches Rick the Osteopath gave me to do are having an effect – I no longer feel like my arm is being pulled out of its socket. So that’s progress. Doc says I may always have this issue with my back. Always? That’s just great, but I’m hoping that Alexander Technique and Shiatsu and all that jazz will prove him wrong.
I feels like weeks and weeks since I did any making (apart from stews and cakes) and I realise I’ve been waiting for my back to heal… I’ll have to get over that one, and pretty sharpish. Monday is back-to-school day, and I’m hoping a good chat with Patrick will get me back on track.
I’ve just fallen in love with the work of Ann Catrin Evans http://www.auraexhibition.co.uk/evans.htm and was delighted to discover she’s a WMCP girl too. And then my searching revealed that she’d had a massive car accident early last year, which she was lucky to survive. Puts a lot of things in perspective.
