The idea of the summer months being a “holiday” is quite hilarious. At the moment, it’s the same big juggling match as last year – trying to balance ongoing college work with earning money. I’m really reluctant to commit regular blocks of time for £6 an hour, so I’m registered all over the place for event work, and jobs are trickling in. All will be well.
I spent a couple of days in Haslemere last week, working with Oliver Russell, which was just great. I’m going back soon, and will hopefully be brave enough to get stuck into making. He’s just had a new commission for some gates, so it’ll be great to see how that process unfolds.
The sun’s come back out, after a rather overcast morning, and I had a lovely walk on the Downs. Glorious open views, big old trees and cattle. Happy girl.
