Since the plough weaving escapade last summer, I’ve been playing with other unexpected forms of weave. I love that it’s literally a way of binding ideas together, even if they don’t naturally seem to belong. Using yarn feels inherently female, a good counterpoint to the hard qualities of metal-working.
This week has a delicious stillness. Time to slow down and reflect on the work done so far and what remains to be addressed. It feels good to have reached this stage and see the end approaching. I’ll soon be done, graduated and out the other side. Back to the real world!? Whatever that is.
