The Tool Museum has been selected to take part in a group exhibition at the South Square Gallery in Thornton, West Yorkshire, opening on 4 November.
Entitled Abort, Retry, Fail? the show presents work by 10 UK artists who use repetition and experiment as an inherent part of their working process.
Referring to the infuriatingly pointless error message MS Dos produced when it couldn’t work out what to do, the title reinforces the Tool Museum’s point about contemporary work being done by clicking buttons.
A selection of 21 pieces will be on display from 4 November to 23 December. Having never been to West Yorkshire, I’m looking forward to a windswept introduction to Bronte country when I travel up from Brighton for the opening night.
