I am delighted to report that a lovely big box set off to Scarborough this morning, ahead of the opening of Make it Slow next week. Alongside some of my existing work, I will be showing a new series of tools on the theme of Multitasking, including the piece below, entitled Thorn Slice.
Curator Grace Whowell has selected 6 artists whose work aligns with the ethos of the Slow movement to create a stunning exhibition of contemporary crafts. Opening at Woodend in Scarborough on Friday 15 November 2013, it will be on tour through Yorkshire and East Lancashire until October 2014.
I’m heading over to Scarborough next week and am very much looking forward to seeing the work of Aimee Betts, Fenella Elms, Lizzie Farey, Chris Keenan and Misun Won. But even Crafts Magazine is looking forward to it.
